摘 要:Introduction: Squamous cell carcinoma is the most common malignancies in head and neck region。Majority of patients present with advanced disease that is associated with poor prognosis and limited survival。Surgery, radiotherapy and combination chemotherapy are currently regarded as the standard treatment for these patients。With the recent development of drug sensitive test we may further expect survival prolongation in future trials。Induction chemotherapy is appropriate for the treatment of advanced squamous cell carcinoma of oral cavity because it downstages the tumor prior to surgery and radiotherapy, allows organ preservation without compromising the survival。In this abstract we intend to summarize the updated information on the use of PTP regimen in treatment of advanced oral cancer。Purpose: To explore a new regimen for treatment of advanced oral cancer and to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PTP protocol。Methods: Out of 156, 84 were male between January 2001 to December 2003 at the Affiliated 9th Hospital。The median age was 63 years。156 cases of advanced oral cancer, stage III/IV treated with 2-3 cycles of PTP (cisplatin 100mg/m2 day l, teniposide 50mg/m2 day 2-3, bleomycin 10mg/m2 day 4-14) induction therapy followed by extensive resection surgery/external beam radiotherapy 60-64Gy, all the patients were analyzed for response and acute toxicity 2 weeks after chemotherapy。Results: The entire patient completed 2-3 cycles of chemotherapy without any mortality。
