摘 要:Ovarian cancer is the second most common cancer of the reproductive system in women and is the leading cause of death from gynecological cancers. Despite good response to surgery and initial chemotherapy, the resistance to platinum in some ovarian cancers represents a major obstacle to successful therapy. A number of mechanisms for ovarian cancer platinum resistance have been reported. These mechanisms include the reduction of cisplatin accumulation within cancer cells, the ability to detoxify cisplatin, faster repair of cisplatin-DNA adducts, modulation of apoptotic pathways, up-regulation of transcription factors, and a higher concentration of glutathione and metallothioneins.
