摘      要：GIS, a powerful tool for processing spatial data, is advantageous in its spatial overlaying. In this paper, GIS is applied to the extraction of geological information. Information associated with mineral resources is chosen to delineate the geo anomalies, the basis of ore forming anomalies and of mineral deposit location. This application is illustrated with an example in Weixi area, Yunnan Province.
