摘      要：To the Editor,Diabetes mellitus(DM)is an endocrine disorder of chronic hyperglycemia diagnosed by fasting blood sugar levels of≥126 mg/dL or glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)levels of≥6.5%.Type 1 DM involves a lack of insulin secretion by the pancreas,whereas the human body s resistance to insulin combined with impaired function of beta cells causes type 2 DM.
