摘      要：In Cangshan Town, Zhongjiang County, there is aTaiPo (old woman) Dragon Lantern Dance Team,composed in 1988 spontaneously of old women from 58 to 78 years of age. During the period from the 2nd of the first lunar month to the lantern festival (15th of the 1st lunar month) every year, they dance with dragon lanterns in the street. They have kept this for ten years so far. Traditionally, wherever the dance team goes, they get a gift of money in return. TaiPo Dragon Lantern Dance Team, then, present this gift to the local temple, hoping that the temple will be maintained well to attract more visitors and that the economy will develop when more visitors come. Now this team has expanded to more than 50 persons. It has become famous here and there, forming a part of Cangshan’s folk culture.
